About Andean Amazon Treasures

Thank you for your interest in Andean Amazon Treasures. We have been in business since 2008. We were born on Ebay. Our Ebay store "Le petite bohemian" is still in business, but now, we are attending artisan fairs and Farmers Markets in the U.S. and running our own web domain. We just opened in June 2010 our first store booth at Leaping Lotus, Solana Beach.  Our goal is to promote the development of artisan communities in South America.

Every day, hundreds of South American people living in beautiful towns abandoned by their government, leave their families and culture, in search of a better income in order to support their families. In their exodus they lose their roots, identity and their sense of belonging. 

“Andean Amazon Treasures” works directly with South American artisan groups and organizations in order to find a worldwide market for their crafts. Preventing migration to cities, preserving the culture of ancient groups and providing a fair price for handmade goods is our mission.    

 
We are working directly with these artisan groups in order to give them the opportunity to remain with and support their families, and bring the best prices to you. Our commitment is to you, our valued customer, and to South American ethnic groups, holders of treasures that cannot be lost in a world that still loves the authenticity of handmade goods.

We are a serious business collecting and reporting taxes to the California State and you can check our background profile with the California State Board of Equalization at the website www.boe.ca.gov or calling to the free information center 800-400-7115.  That means all California Residents will be charged the state tax.  That rate is $8.75% for San Diego residents and $8.25% for other CA cities.
