Another ecological incentive for using vegetable ivory is that renewed trade in Tagua nuts could help protect endangered rain forests in Ecuador, Colombia and Peru. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR MY LOYAL CUSTOMERS:
To all the customers who have bid in my "Tagua" sculptures, I am very grateful. they will be not available for sale any more. In my last trip I was detained in costumes at the Miami Airport. After Xray the suitcases, they believed the boxes filled with wrap material and Tagua were "cocaine". It took time and a careful inspection from the agents to discover the true.
One elephant in Tagua arrived broken a cause of the terrible handling in the International flies. I discovered the lost and the hassles are not sustainable anymore. In the same space I can store one sculpture in Tagua, I can bring 10 ethnic jewelry sets .
So, I decided to stop bringing Tagua sculptures to the United States. If you are interested in this piece, get it before is gone because I am not bringing this kind of Art anymore. Please be sure to check my other tagua sculptures with marine and rain forest motives. Those are gorgeous.
