This amazing and colorful necklace features a 1.5 inches pendant , is a very delicated, detailed, handcarved and hanpainted humming bird made by Panama Wounaan indians, hanging in a colorful twisted double stranded necklace made of red coral, and glass gold plated japan beads and turquoise and light green glossy glass beads. The necklace was made by designer Allie Thornton in America. The toggle clasp is a hammered plated silver toogle.

Wounaan Indians are masters Artisans from the Darien-Choco region of Panama, they carve the tagua with hand tools , and polish it with a serie of natural abrasives, the dies use for painting are produced by dying the Tagua with natural extracts from plants and earth, very fine and natural ink, totally organic and ecofienfly. The production of this artistic pendants and scultures can take over one month, the more tiny or delicate the design or pendant, the more work.
Allie Thornton is an Ecuadorian designer who resides in USA and has especialized in a new tendency she calls "organic jewelry". She imports exotic seeds from South American rainforests, and tagua nuts also known as vegetable ivory and made jewelry in USA mixing seeds with metals and semi precious stones.
