These designers, cut and shape the shells like mother of pearl, abalone, spiney shell , in unique designs you can not find in your local jewel store. Abalone is very delicate and expensive shell, you can get a pendant not mounted selling for 40 dollars and up. Red coral is also scarce and valued material for jewelry.
