WHAT IS TAGUA?
Tagua is a "green or ecofriendly" material, it is a nut and comes from the "elephant plant" which grows in the Tropical lowlands in Ecuador. It is dyed and handcarved in the production of jewelry, belts, buttons and sculptures. Its production is the way of living of hundreds of artisans and ethnic groups.
